officers, Justice of the Peace
Injury/Fatality Data Sources:
Texas Department of Health trauma Registry and data obtained from local law
enforcement officials.
Public Information and Education and Other Program Activities:
Newspaper articles, local radio announcements, annual county wide health fair,
safety fairs in each primary school throughout Lamb County annually, Shattered
Dreams, Safety Seat Check Points, Safety Seat Distribution program, and bicycle
rodeos, Senior Safety Driving Course through AARP
Program Outcome Measurements:
- Increased the amount of restrained individuals involved in MVC’S
- Increased the amount of referrals to the safety seat distribution program
from judges and law enforcement agencies
- Decreased the amount of alcohol related incidents following Shattered Dreams
according to local judges.
