Terri L. Miller, M.S.
Program Coordinator, Safe Communities
Terri Miller joined Texas Cooperative Extension in March
2002. Immediately prior to her Family Development and Resource
Management appointment, she was director of a Safe Community
grant that worked with a Brazos County traffic safety coalition
to reduce and eliminate traffic safety injuries and deaths. In
another position with Texas A&M University, Terri served as the
associate director of the College Traffic Safety program and as
a safety education lecturer in the Health and Kinesiology Department.
Terri has been active in safety for many years, serving as a
Westinghouse safety engineer, the Texas A&M University-Human
Resources Occupational Health program coordinator, and teaching
driver education.
Currently, Terri is the project coordinator for a Texas Department
of Transportation statewide traffic safety initiative, Safe
Communities. She is a certified child passenger safety technician,
minor-in-possession instructor, driving while intoxicated instructor,
Texas drug and alcohol driving awareness instructor, and a certified
driver education teacher. Terri has been published in American Driver
and Traffic Safety Education Association, a national traffic safety
journal. Terri has served as a state board member of the Texas Alcohol
and Traffic Safety Association and is currently the president of the
Brazos Injury Prevention Coalition.
Terri received her M.S. degree from Texas A&M University in Health
Education and a Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University
in Kinesiology and Health.
